JPS Summer Band Program. After two years, the JPS Summer band program will return Monday, June 13th through July 1st. 1 hour/day Monday thru Friday for 3 weeks. $100. Instruments are available to borrow. 8 am Beginning Percussion. 9 am Intermediate Percussion. 10 am Beginning Beginning Band. 11 am Intermediate Band. 12 noon Advanced Band. 1 pm Jazz Band. Walk-ins are welcome. Middle School at Parkside.
On Two Wheels Mountain Bike Ride. 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. This is an On Two Wheels sanctioned MTB ride hosted by Pat. Meeting location will be the Museum Parking lot at Ella Sharp Park. Helmets are REQUIRED for all riders. All skill riders are welcome. Any questions can be directed towards the shop at 517-789-6077.
Junior Golf Clinic. Cascades Golf Course presents 2022 Junior Golf Clinic. Three 40-minute classes, Mondays in June or July at either 5 PM or 6 PM. Intended for beginners and novice golfers. Instruction with cover stance, grip, full swing, chipping, putting, and pitching. Held at Cascades Golf Course and Driving Range. Yoga at Eastern. 3 PM to 4 PM. Come relax, unwind, and take care of your body with the slow and gentle flow of yoga! Bring your own mat; if you do not have one, a limited amount may be available. This program takes place on the second Monday of the month at 3 PM. Eastern Branch, Jackson District Library.
Al Glick Youth Football Camp Registration. Register now for the 3rd annual Al Glick Youth Football Camp on June 18th at Withington Stadium at Jackson High School, 544 Wildwood Avenue, in Jackson. Camp will take place from 12 Noon to 4:00 PM, with check-in at 11:00 AM. Cost is 15 dollars per camper and is open to all Jackson County kids entering 4th to 9th grade in the Fall of 2022. All campers will receive t-shirt and draw-string bag, light breakfast, lunch, special guest speakers, and non-contact instruction by current high school coaches and former college and pro players. Register now at Legacy Football or in-person at the City of Jackson Parks & Recreation Department in downtown Jackson at 161 W. Michigan Avenue.
