Jackson College Theatre Summer Workshop.  6 PM.  Monday, June 17 – Thursday, June 20 AND Monday, June 24 – Thursday, June 27.  6 – 8 p.m.  Potter Center, Michael Baughman Theatre.  Dive into the exciting world of improvisational theatre where quick thinking, teamwork, and imaginative storytelling take center stage. Explore improvisation methods used at Chicago’s Second City to perform a scripted scene. Grateful Monday at Ironbark.  6:30 PM.  Come hang out for an evening of the Grateful Dead, one of the most influential and popular bands in American history. Every 3rd Monday of the month, a concert is selected from the treasure trove of live performances that are available. It could be anything ranging from their psychedelic days playing in small venues in the 60’s to stadium concerts of the 90’s. Regardless of which decade, it will showcase why the multitude of Deadheads all agree, “There’s nothing like a Grateful Dead concert!”  Get here early, the jams start at 6:30!  Ironbark Brewing Company, 2610 Kibby Road, Jackson.

Explore National Parks at Jackson District Library.  6 PM.  Join us for a presentation exploring some of America’s National Parks with Jackson photographer, author and historian, Douglas Leffler. Douglas will cover a select number of National Parks that he and his wife Sandra visited over the years, followed by a discussion on visiting Michigan’s State parks and our local parks.
