Mindfulness Hike.  1 PM. Event by Waterloo Recreation Area, Gerald E. Eddy Discovery Center.  Join the Park interpreter on a 0.6-mile trail and learn how to slow your mind and be mindful in the environment around you. We will meet at the Discovery center lobby! Free with a state of Michigan Recreation passport. Bathrooms and drinking fountains available at the Discovery Center.

$1 Summer Kids Movie Series. Make a splash at the Michigan Theatre with Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken as part of our Summer Kids Movie Series, sponsored by Kiwanis & Southern Michigan Bank and Trust. Ruby Gillman is a shy teenager just trying to survive high school without standing out. But when she discovers she comes from a legendary family of sea krakens, Ruby has to embrace who she really is and dive into an adventure bigger than she ever imagined.  A fun, colorful family movie about friendship, courage and finding your place. Admission is just $1.  Showtimes: Tuesday, June 9 at 11 AM & 2 PM, Wednesday, June 10 at 11 AM & 2 PM, Thursday, June 11 at 11 AM & 2 PM.   Doors open 30 minutes before each showing.  Michigan Theatre, Downtown Jackson.

Food Truck Tuesday presented byJackson Area Food Truck Association (JAFTA). Downtown Jackson’s favorite lunch tradition returns to Horace Blackman Park this summer.  Since 2018, Food Truck Tuesdays have brought local food trucks, cold treats, coffee, sweets, and a whole lot of good people together for lunch in the heart of downtown. The Jackson Area Food Truck Association (JAFTA) is proud to keep it rolling on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays in June, July, and August from11 AM to 2 PM.  Come hungry. Bring your people. Support LOCAL.
