Spring Break:  JDL Game Day.  Whether you’re in it to win it or just for the fun, get ready to play some games during Spring Break, March 24-April 2!  Start at any JDL branch to pick up your scorecard and start playing your way through all the games represented at the Jackson District Library.  Visit 3 locations to earn a prize, visit 7 locations to earn a second prize and visit 10 locations to earn a third prize and be entered into a grand prize drawing for a bundle of board games! You can also complete a trivia sheet at any branch for a grand prize entry, no traveling is required.  All activities are available until 30 minutes before each library closes during the week of Spring Break.  Several of our StoryWalks will have special Choose Your Own Adventure stories during Spring Break. Spring Break Farm House Tours at Ella Sharp Museum.  Monday, March 27 – Friday, March 31 at 1:00 pm.  We’ve done some Spring cleaning just in time for Spring Break 2023! Join us as we open the doors to Ella Sharp’s Hillside Farmhouse for the season to the Jackson Community. Explore the home of Ella Sharp, learn more about the Merriman-Sharp family and how Ella planted the seed for the museum and park we now know today.  More info and registration here.

Spring Break Planetarium Shows: DinoSOARS.  Monday, March 27 – Friday, March 31 at 11:30 am, 2:30 pm, and 4:00 pm.  Did you know? Birds are living dinosaurs! Follow the story of Malkia, a museum paleontologist, as she explores fascinating connections between birds and dinosaurs. Join us as we dive into the theory that birds evolved from dinosaurs! Showing at 11:30 am, 2:30 pm and 4:00 pm every day of Spring Break: March 27-31!  Hurst Planetarium, Ella Sharp Museum.

Jackson College Film Class Series:  Mad Max Fury Road (2015).  7:15 PM.  Directed by George Miller and starring Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron, and Nicholas Hoult.  In a post-apocalyptic wasteland, a woman rebels against a tyrannical ruler in search of her homeland with the aid of a group of female prisoners, a psychotic worshiper, and a drifter named Max.Doors open at 6:30 pm. Auditorium doors open at 7 pm. The film begins at 7:15 pm. Admission is $5.  Michigan Theatre, Downtown Jackson.  

Improv Comedy Night.  7:30 PM.  Improv Comedy Night hosted by Monster Box Theatre at Ironbark Brewing Company.  Join us for a fun evening of comedy and improv games.  Free to watch!  2610 Kibby Road, Jackson.
