Zen Garden for Relaxation.  Jackson District Library.  Create a Zen Garden to help you relax and unwind at the end of the day. Supply kits will be available at all JDL branches beginning May 2, while supplies last.  This activity is best for adults or children 6+.

At Home Spa Day.  5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.  Grass Lake Branch, Jackson District Library.   Celebrate Mother’s Day by spending quality time together. Join us at the Grass Lake Branch for light refreshments and fascinating conversation. We will then create some make and take spa products for you to pamper yourself later.  Designed for moms and children over 10. Space is limited and registration is required. Momma’s Secret Garden:  Mother’s Day Fused Glass Project.  Not so Shabby, Oh so Chic.  For this Mothers Day we have a fused glass project called “Mother’s secret Garden” so all you Mother’s that love gardening, fused glass or just a fun night with your friends or want a some time with your grown children, come sign up for this class. A light dinner from kibby cobb and drinks will be included. This is a planter box project so you can use this as a planter pot, a center piece for your table, or whatever you’d like to use it for.  Registration and information here.  2624 Kibby Road, Jackson.

Head Start and Early Head Start Sign-Up.  Community Action Agency is now accepting registrations for Early Head Start (pregnant women and ages 0-3) and Head Start (age 3 or 4 by December 1st).  Picture a bright future!  Apply now by calling 517-539-8336 or visiting greatstartjackson.org.

Summer Day Camp Registration.  Jackson YMCA Summer Day Camp, which begins June 13, will be here before you know it, and kids, teens and young adults can join us for a great summer of fun activities. Kids ages 4-14: Registration is open, and you can download our brochure on our website. Sign up for a week or the whole summer! Financial assistance is available.  The Jackson YMCA is also hiring positions for Counselors in Training (ages 14-15), Camp Counselors (ages 16 and up) and lifeguards.   Applications for all positions are available on our website.
