Join us at the MLK Center on 10/30 from 3pm to 5:30pm to learn more about the community support available to Jackson entrepreneurs and business owners, or to share your own insights as a local service provider. Learn more or register in advance here. We hope to see you at this important community event! Martin Luther King, Jr. Center, 1107 Adrian Street, Jackson.

Jackson College Film Series presents “Scream”. 7:15 PM. Wes Craven re-invented and revitalised the slasher-horror genre with this modern horror classic, which manages to be funny, clever and scary, as a fright-masked knife maniac stalks high-school students in middle-class suburbia. Craven is happy to provide both tension and self-parody as the body count mounts – but the victims aren’t always the ones you’d expect. Doors open at 7:00 P.M. Film at 7:15 P.M. Admission 5 Dollars. Michigan Theatre, Downtown Jackson.
Spooktacular Trunk or Treat. Crowe’s Nest Cafe, Napoleon. On MONDAY, October 30th, starting at 4pm, we’re offering a limited menu dinner, with a little parade of costumes for our Trunk-or-Treaters. Beginning at 5pm, we’ll have our 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat until just before 7pm (or when the sun sets). At 7pm, we’ll have a spooky retelling of the Headless Horseman, and some other spooktacular stories. Is your Jack O’ Lantern scary or funny this year? Well, if you can get your mom or dad (or even for the bigger kids) to bring one in to be voted on by everyone, the winner will receive a $25 Gift Certificate to the Crowes’ Nest Cafe. Let’s see your Pumpkins, gang! Would you like to offer up your trunk or drop off gift bags or candy for passing out? We’d be more than happy to make all of our area kiddos happy!
