Nite Lites Drive Thru Christmas Light Show.  Michigan International Speedway US-12 Entrance only, 12626 US-12, Brooklyn.  5:30 pm – 9 pm Sunday thru Thursday.  5:30 pm – 10:00 pm Friday & Saturday.  Pricing: $25 per car / vehicle, $40 per mini-bus, $40 per Limo / motor home / $70 per tour bus. All major credit cards accepted.  Nite Lites Winter Wonderland.  Children will have the opportunity to have their photos taken with Santa and make their Christmas wishes.  Photos will be taken for a small fee or  you are welcome to visit Santa at no charge.  Nov. 29,30, Dec. 1, Dec. 6,7,8, Dec. 13,14,15 and Dec. 20,21,22.  We will be offering a puppet show and train rides  Winter Wonderland hours: 6pm-9pm, Santa’s hours: 6:00pm-8:30pm.    Live Reindeer nights only:  December 6th, 13th, and 20th (6pm – 9pm).  This event features food and drinks of the season and a visit from Santa Claus himself!

Jackson YMCA Can Drive.  We are collecting canned goods over the Thanksgiving holiday! All are welcome to bring canned goods to the Summit branch and enjoy free classes:  8:15 a.m. – Cycling with Jen S./Elaine; 9:15 a.m. – Barre with Bonnie. Classes are 60 minutes.   Summit Branch, Jackson YMCA, Summit Oaks Mall.

Brooklyn Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting Event.  Gather your family and friends the day after Thanksgiving and kick off the holiday season with the Brooklyn Christmas Parade.  On Friday there will be a variety of holiday activities around the square in downtown Brooklyn. Children can listen to holiday stories read by Mrs. Claus, decorate Christmas cookies, make holiday crafts and visit with Santa’s reindeer before the parade. Santa Claus will arrive in the parade and children can visit with Santa after the parade at Columbia Interiors.  Donations of non-perishable canned goods, coats and gloves will also be collected to help those in our community.  Parade at 6 PM.  For more information on this year’s parade or holiday activities, go to the Village of Brooklyn website at www.villageofbrooklyn.com.

Family Night at Fundays.  What a week! Bring the family in for a fun night out! Celebrate the week’s successes or maybe you’re just happy the week is over! Either way, kids are 1/2 off admission from 4 to 7pm every Friday night!  Funday’s, Summit Oaks Mall, Ferguson Corners.

Elf the Musical.  A musical take on “Elf” comes to the Croswell Opera House in Adrian for two more weekends. Based on the 2003 Will Ferrell movie of the same name, the stage musical features original songs by Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin, who are also known for the stage adaptation of “The Wedding Singer.”  Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday shows are at 2:30 p.m., with two additional Saturday matinees on Nov. 30 and Dec. 7.   Tickets range from $20 to $40 for adults and are $15 for children. Breakfast with Santa and Shop Small Saturday.  Share some flap jacks with Santa on Small Business Saturday.  Junkyard Dog is serving breakfast at the Michigan Theatre.  Meals for children cost $3 and $8 for adults.  Children can take pictures with Santa at 9 a.m. Afterward, parents can enjoy deals at local downtown small businesses.  For more information, visit the event’s Facebook page. 

Art 634 Art Market.  10 AM to 4 PM.  The first 100 guests receive a free gift!  During Shop Small Saturday, local artisans will be in the ART 634 building with holiday art, pottery, hand-made ornaments, sweet treats and one-of-a-kind gifts that will surprise and delight anyone on our Christmas list…including you!   There will be special sales, make-n-take project and Holiday Cheer to make our experience at ART 634 even brighter!  ART 634, 634 North Mechanic Street, Jackson.

8th Annual Festival of Lights.  Stockbridge Town Square.  A family friendly, free event.  Festival list of events:  3 pm to 5:30 pm, Santa’s visit to the Township Hall. Horse-drawn carriage rides, food vendors, gingerbread house contest, Elf stops at participating businesses, 3 PM to 6 PM.  All day:  Tree Gala.  The parade begins at 6 PM at Stockbridge Jr/Sr High School.  Hosted by Stockbridge Area Chamber of Commerce and Stockbridge Downtown Development Authority.

Michigan vs Ohio State on the Big Screen!  November 30th.  $3 pounders, hot dogs for $2.  Doors open at 11:55 AM, Game kicks off at 12 Noon.  Free Admission.  Michigan Theatre, Downtown Jackson.

Blues Jam Featuring Kev Nichols and Blue Tuesday.  Kev Nichols and Blue Tuesday return for another night of jams!  Come to watch or get up to jam! Either way, its FREE!  Doors open at 6:30 PM.  Music Starts at 7:00 P.M.  Bar and concessions available for purchase.  Admission is FREE!!!  Michigan Theatre, Downtown Jackson.

Veterans Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and Holiday Open House.  5 PM to 8 PM.  Veterans Christmas Tree Lighting at 6:00 pm on the corner of M-50 and Woodard Rd. in Tompkins Center.
