36th Annual Jackson Storyfest. Storyteller Adam Mellema will present a special veteran-themed story on November 3 at 3 PM at the American Legion in Brooklyn. This Storyfest event presented by the Jackson District Library is free and open to the public. Adam will also be presenting a Storytelling Workshop at the Brooklyn Legion on November 4 at 10 AM. Participants will learn how to interview others and pass along your own stories from generation to generation.The workshop is free to attend, however registration is required. 36th Annual Jackson Storyfest. 7 PM. The largest storytelling festival in Michigan returns to Jackson County with musical performances, workshops and storytelling. 11th Annual Watkins Lake State Park Lantern Walk. 4:45 to 5:45 PM. Please join Watkins Lake State Park for a beloved annual tradition as we welcome and see the beauty in the darkness! The event will take place at Watkins Lake State Park on Sunday, November 5 at 4:45pm. This event is FREE.
