Grand River Farmers Market.  9 AM to 2 PM.  A community-driven market prioritizing fresh local produce and Michigan-only homemade & artisan goods.  Open Fridays and Saturdays, 9am-2pm throughout the summer into early fall. The Grand River Farmers Market is located in the parking lot of Grand River Brewery at the intersection of Louis Glick Highway and Mechanic Street. NEW: Rotating food trucks and music on select days.   Vendors, artisans, and performers.  117 W Louis Glick Hwy, Jackson.

Grass Lake Traffic Jam’In.  Beginning in 2009 the festival combined a classic car show with live music. Every year since, Traffic Jam’In has grown to include numerous family oriented events and attractions, nationally touring music groups, a variety of food and other vendors, and a certified 5K run/walk.  All events in Downtown Grass Lake.  Food trucks, car show, kids activities, live entertainment and much more.  Event page and music lineup here.

Vineyard Jams:  Friday and Saturday Music.  7 PM to 10 PM.  Join us this Summer for the return of our Friday & Saturday night music series: Vineyard Jams.  Every Friday and Saturday evening (Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend) from 7-10 PM on the Cherry Creek stage, enjoy some of the best bands in the area. From rock ‘n roll, to blues, and country and pop, there is something for everyone. Beer, Wine, Wine Slushies, & Cider.  Rotating Food Trucks.  Limited Cafe’ Menu.  Open to all ages. Great music and fantastic food trucks!   Friday:  Billie Lewis & The Soul Backs and featured food truck Smokin’ D’s Deli.  Saturday:  Wishing Well and featured food truck Smokehouse 52.  Cherry Creek Cellars, 11500 Silver Lake Highway, Brooklyn.

LD & Pat’s Cruise-In and VCL Festival.  9 AM to 3 PM.  Vandercook Lake County Park.  Cars, crafts, concert and kids’ activities.  Car show open to all years, makes and models.  $10 car and raffles registration.  Music by ABC Sisters Band and Disc Jockey.  Children’s Inflatable Playground, Jackson Library Bookmobile, craft projects, face painting and a dunk tank.  Presented by Vandercook Lake Lions Club.

Area 19 Special Olympics 1st Annual Barbecuing for the Athletes.  Get ready for some real finger-lickin’ goodness.  Keeley Park.  10 AM to 3 PM, team cooking ribs.  12 PM Cornhole Tournament.  3 PM Rib samples available to the public.  

Black Food Sovereignty Festival in the Garden.  11 AM to 4 PM.  Special garden tour and a free meal coupon with attendance.  Prizes, gift cards, kids games, and cooking demonstrations.  Black food sovereignty and our community celebrated at the YPOP Garden, 1107 Maple Street, Jackson.

Cascades Humane Society 4th Annual Community Yard Sale.  Join us for our fourth annual community yard sale at Cascades Humane Society on July 14th, 15th, and 16th! Shop until you drop- we will have tons of items, generously donated by our great community of supporters! Expect toys, pet items, clothing, shoes, sports equipment, books, decorations, kitchen items, and more! All proceeds from this event directly benefit the animals in our care!  Water will be for sale to keep you hydrated! We also encourage bringing your own reusable bags, boxes, or wagons to tote your goodies home with you!1515 Carmen Drive, Jackson.  Friday and Saturday 10 AM to 6 PM, Sunday 10 AM to 3 PM.

Jackson Rhythm & Ribs BBQ Cookoff.  Attention, food enthusiasts and barbecue lovers! Get ready to savor an incredible culinary experience at the upcoming Rhythm and Ribs BBQ Cook-Off!  True Community Credit Union Square, 212 W Michigan Ave, Jackson.  Join us on July 15th from 12pm-5pm in Downtown Jackson for a mouthwatering celebration of flavor, culture, and entrepreneurship. This event aims to showcase and support the incredible talents of businesses in the world of barbecuing. Prepare to be blown away by the exceptional skills of our talented pitmasters, who will be showcasing their secret family recipes, unique flavor profiles, and innovative cooking techniques. Cascades Rotary Community Bandshell Concert Series.  7 PM.  Presented by Alro Steel.  Free to the public.  Entertainment tonight by Frog and the Beeftones.  They will get the crowd up and moving.  The blues with a healthy dose of rock and roll.  Bring a blanket or lawn chair!

Sunday, July 16

1st Annual Summertime Ol’ Skool Gospelfest.  4 PM to 8 PM.  Come enjoy the music of Jackson’s legendary Gospel vocalists and musicians.  Featuring Jackson’s own Babbie Mason and Mother Odie Trice.  Special guests:  The Original Faith Temple Band.  Plus local Jackson vocalists and musicians including:  Tim & Wendy Oliver, Various Praise Teams, The WIllis Family and more!  Horace Blackman Park, Downtown Jackson.  Preferred seating begins at 4 PM, bring your own lawn chair.  Music starts at 4:30 PM.

Vista Grande Villa Summer Concert Series.  6 PM.  Entertainment today by Brad Frey.  Free!  All concerts begin at 6 PM on the Grande Room Patio.  Vista Grande Villa, 2251 Springport Road, Jackson.
