Spring Rummage and Book Sale.  9 AM to 4 PM.   It is Rummage Sale day! We get to work with each other and know that we are providing a service to the community. And it is such a worthwhile effort because ALL of the proceeds from the sale go to local and world-wide missions.  First United Methodist Church, 275 West Michigan Avenue, Downtown Jackson.

Jackson Public Schools Kindergarten and Young Fives Roundup.  Join us at one of our JPS Elementary Schools!  Today:  Sharp Park Academy,  5:30 to 7 PM.  Free Class of 2036 T-Shirt upon enrollment!  Community partners will be available to serve you, including Jackson YMCA, JCISD, CAA, Center for Family Health, Jackson District Library, Jackson County Health Department and more!  Please arrive early as program will begin promptly!

Economic Luncheon Last Chance to Buy Tickets!  Uniting Workforce Development Economic Luncheon. Monday,  May 1st.  11:30am – 1pm.  Jackson College, Bert Walker Hall.  LAST CHANCE TO BUY TICKETS!  Shaping the Future of Postsecondary Attainment and the Talent Pipeline.  Join us for a panel discussion featuring local leaders in education from Baker College, Spring Arbor University, and Jackson College. Thursday Member Movie Night: 2001:  A Space Odyssey. After uncovering a mysterious artifact buried beneath the Lunar surface, a spacecraft is sent to Jupiter to find its origins – a spacecraft manned by two men and the supercomputer H.A.L. 9000.   All Members get in free every Thursday. Purchase a membership anytime for 30 dollars for an individual (per year). Non members cost is $5.  Doors open at 6:30 P.M.  Film Begins at 7:00 P.M.  Michigan Theatre, Downtown Jackson.

Painting for Paws.  6 PM to 8 PM.  Cascades Humane Society.  Join us at CHS for Painting for Paws! Stephanie from Sharp Shoppin’ will be teaching class participants how to create and paint a sign/door hanger of their choice. Classes are Tuesday, April 25th and Thursday, April 27th. Imagine the Moon.  Showing Through April.  Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, & Sundays at 12:00pm,  Hurst Planetarium.  When was the last time you looked at the Moon? Not Just noticed it, but really looked at it? To most of us the Moon seems like an afterthought, a thing we might notice in passing and then not give a second glance. But the Moon’s place in our lives is so much more than just its physical presence in the sky. It is a constant companion in our collective imagination. This is a show ESPECIALLY for children! Spring Night Sky Tour.  Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays at 4:00pm.  Saturdays, & Sundays at 2:00pm & 4:00pm.  Hurst Planetarium at Ella Sharp Museum.  Join us as we transform the dome into the Spring sky! We’ll cover tips and tricks for navigating the night sky!
