Jackson Young Professionals January Meetup.  6 PM.  Join us at Griz Chiropractic at 2522 Lansing Rd at 6pm for our Large Group Meetup. Come celebrate this amazing accomplishment for JYP member John Griswold. He was presented a JYP award at Friendsgiving and a Chamber of Commerce Brick Award in the past month! Mike Crupi Live at Mancino’s. An evening of live music featuring Mike Slim Crupi live at Mancino’s from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M.  3017 Wildwood Avenue, Jackson.

Men’s Basketball Scout Team Open Gym.  6:30 PM.  The Jackson College men’s basketball team will host an open gym on Thursday, Jan. 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the Victor Cuiss Fieldhouse to evaluate players. The open gym is for any Jackson College student that is enrolled for the spring semester. We are looking for six-seven guys to make up a scout team and practice every day. This team will not be eligible to play games or lose eligibility but will be required to practice. The commitment will be four days a week until the end of February. College Catch Up Workshop.  6 PM. Bert Walker Hall, Room 138 – Center for Student Success, Jackson College Central Campus.  Are you new to taking college courses or coming back after taking some time off and want to make sure you have all the skills to get started? The Jackson College Center for Student Success is offering FREE College Catch-Up workshops to help you:  Canvas Training, Learn differences between Canvas and JetStream., Learn to manage your time by building a weekly study/homework schedule.  Learn how to download and use Microsoft Office for free as a student! Students will also review basic computer skills like opening e-mail, creating and saving documents, using different Internet browsers and more. We are offering a similar workshop called Welcome to Canvas that will focus on supporting students who are currently taking the course through Jetway or as a part of their Seminar Life in Pathways course.
