Harry Potter 20th Anniversary Event.  Join us to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Harry Potter Series. 3 PM to 6 PM, Jackson District Library Carnegie Branch. Explore Diagon Alley and then travel to Hogwarts to be sorted into a house.  Dress up as your favorite character and enter our costume contest at 5:30p –there will be prizes for the winners!  Test your HP knowledge at our “Tri-Wizard’s Trivia Wheel” game.  There will be crafts, a scavenger hunt, games, snacks, and fun for all ages.  For more information, please check our website – www.myjdl.com – or call the YS department at 517-788-4087 ext. 1331.

The Michigan Theatre presents Smallfoot.  Migo is a friendly Yeti who discovers something that he didn’t know existed — a human. When his fellow villagers refuse to believe him, Migo embarks on an epic journey to find the mysterious creature that can put him back in good graces.  Doors open at 12:30 P.M. Film Starts at 1:00 P.M.  Admission is 1 Dollar!

“Something Wild” (1986) at the Michigan Theatre.  Directed by Jonathan Demme.  A straight-arrow accountant hits it off with a wild, highly adventurous woman, and together they impulsively embark upon an unpredictable journey.  A modern take on a screwball comedy with dramatic overtones, the film follows the mis-matched couple as they find themselves in deeper trouble than either of them ever expected.  Doors open at 6:30 PM, film begins at 7 PM.
