Chris Canas at Grand River Brewery.  7 PM to 9 PM.  Chris Canas will be at the Grand River Brewery Jackson at 7 pm for a stripped-down, heartfelt, acoustic performance. Come hang with Detroits Prince Of Blues!  Grand River Brewery, Downtown Jackson.

Ella Sharp Museum Exhibit.  Diane Washington and Ella Sharp Museum present “Bringing the Village to Life: The YPOP Explorers-Young People of Purpose Story”. Exhibit and program support comes from American 1 Credit Union.  What started out as a way to introduce art to youth has become a community outreach movement: YPOP (Young People of Purpose). The exhibition, Bringing the Village to Life: The YPOP Story, now open at Ella Sharp Museum and shares the story of Jackson’s Diane Washington and the YPOP organization.

Celebrate Chinese New Year.  Jackson District Library.  Stop by any JDL branch starting January 3 to pick up a kit with crafts and activities for learning about and celebrating the Chinese New Year.  Kits available while supplies last.
