Learning Fair 2023.  12 PM to 7 PM.  Time to make sure this free, summer fun is on your calendar! Plan on staying for lunch, there is plenty to do! We are looking forward to the free summer lunch station that will be doing a cookout for the kiddos, tractor rides, making rings out of quarters, animals from a local rescue and so much more. 2nd Annual Jackson Food Truck Festival.  4 PM to 8 PM.  Jackson Food Truck Festival at Keeley Park, 200 W Ganson St, Jackson. On Thursday, July 13th join Jackson County Parks for their 2nd annual Jackson Food Truck Festival! This event will be held from 4 pm-8 pm and is free to enter. The food trucks will be on the Midway at Keeley Park (Jackson County Fairgrounds).  Twenty food trucks with snacks, dinners, treats, desserts, drinks and more!  Event page and list of food trucks here.

A Taste of Grand River Brewery- A Beer Dinner.  6 PM.  Grand River Brewery, 117 W Louis Glick Hwy, Jackson.  (517) 962-2427.  Tickets are $45 here.  Join us for a night of craft beer and delicious food at Grand River Brewery! Our Beer Dinner will feature a variety of GRB beers paired with a four-course meal. The menu has been carefully crafted to complement the unique flavors of each beer. This event is perfect for beer enthusiasts and foodies alike.  Your ticket includes a free Grand River Brewery pint glass, an opportunity to win a $50 GRB gift card and a 1/2 pint of Grand River Brewery beer with each course.

The Green Market at Henry Ford.  Summer outdoor market:  Thursdays 9 AM – 2 PM. Corner of E. Mich. Ave. & Waterloo St., Jackson.  We focus on natural, sustainable Michigan produce and products.  All foods and products sold at The Green Market at Henry Ford Allegiance Health are grown and/or produced in Michigan using little or no pesticides, herbicides, inorganic fertilizers, or antibiotics.  This means healthier foods for the greater Jackson community and less pollution for our rivers and lakes.

Sounds of Summer at Cherry Creek Cellars. 6 PM to 9 PM.  Join us this Summer for our Thursday night music series: Sounds of Summer Presented by Visit Lenawee!  Every Thursday (June – August) from 6 – 9 PM on the Cherry Creek stage, enjoy some of the best solo & duo acts around. This year’s lineup will include new and returning faces.  Full Cafe’ & Beverage Menu Available. Summer Night Sky.  4 PM.  Join us at the Hurst as we transform the dome into the night sky! This is a live presentation where you will learn about some of the constellations that you can find in the Summer months as well as tips and tricks to get around the night sky.  Hurst Planetarium, Ella Sharp Museum.  Event page here. 

Nixon Water Park.  The City of Jackson Nixon Water Park season is now underway.  Hours are Monday thru Saturday 11 AM to 3 PM, session price $5.  3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, session price $4.  Senior Swim:  Tuesday and Friday, 9 AM to 10:30 AM, session price $2.  Closed Sundays.  400 E. North Street at Cooper Street, Jackson.

Cascades Humane Society Wine & Whiskers.  Summer breezes. Delicious wine. Good food. Great company.  Wine and Whiskers, Cascades Humane Society’s wine and food pairing event, is back this summer at Sandhill Crane Vineyards! During the months of July and August, you can participate in this fun event and raise money for the animals in our care.  With your $35 ticket purchase, you receive a wine flight sampler or a full glass pour, a personal charcuterie snack plate, and a commemorative wine glass!  You can purchase your ticket online by clicking here! Just show our friends at Sandhill Crane Vineyards your ticket and get ready for a purrr-fect Wine and Whiskers experience! 2023 Farmers and Makers Market.  Kate’s Art School.  3 PM – 7 PM.We are so excited to be hosting a Farmers and Makers Market again this summer!  The market will run every Thursday, July 13th through August 17th, from 3-7pm.  The market itself will be in the parking lot at 132 N. Main St. in downtown Brooklyn, MI.  At our market you will find fresh produce, eggs, meat, honey, baked goods, soap, pottery, jewelry, art, food trucks, live music and MORE!

Catholic Charities Zero K Fundraising Event.  Who said you need to run a 5K to raise money for a good cause? Join our Zero K fundRACEing event and help us make a difference! No training required, just bring your enthusiasm and support. You and your friends can register to participate in the virtual race taking place July 7th -27th by going to JustGiving.com. The top fundraisers will win the race!  Find out who raised the most when you attend our in-person event on Friday, July 28th to enjoy a fun evening while making a difference and supporting our work.
