Jackson Food Truck Festival.  4 PM to 8 PM, James J. Keeley Park, 200 W Ganson St, Jackson. The first Jackson Food Truck Festival! This event will be held from 4 pm-8 pm and is free to enter. The food trucks will be on the Midway of Keeley Park (Jackson County Fairgrounds).  Fifteen food trucks from around the area will be offering a wide variety of items, plus drinks and desserts.  Come for dinner!  Picnic tables and grounds will be set up for you to enjoy at Keeley Park! 

 

28th Annual Learning Fair.  The Annual Learning Fair is free and provides enough fun for an entire afternoon – for two days! Thursday hours are Noon to 7 PM and Friday hours are 10 AM to 5 PM.  Northwest Elementary School.  Free, hands-on family fun for all ages.  This event offers more than 80 hands-on activities in industry, technology, and the arts for all ages. These activities are provided by local companies such as MACI, Lomar Machine and Tool Co., Uniloy-Milacron, Make Yours, and the Shop Rat Foundation.  Activities include a petting zoo, fire truck and firefighters, police cars and officers, a moonwalk, hovercraft, catapults, and robots! Each company provides a great hands-on activity to share!  Don’t miss the shows too, including Baffling Bill the Magician and The Model T Experience.  JATA buses will provide free rides. Summer Food Service Program and Food Court are available for purchase.  3757 Lansing Avenue, Jackson.

Redeemer Lutheran Church Rummage Sale.  Rummage Sale funds will be donated to St. Luke’s Clinic, a non-profit organization that receives no government assistance. They provide medical and educational services for adults who have no medical insurance or are under-insured. Thursday and Friday 9 AM to 6 PM, Saturday 9 AM to 12 PM.  3637 Spring Arbor Road, Jackson.

 The Green Market.  Local and sustainable produce from farmers and items from local craftspeople and artists.  On location food truck.  9 AM to 2 PM.  Waterloo and East Michigan Avenue, across from Henry Ford Jackson Hospital.

Summer Kids Movie Series.  The Kiwanis Club of Jackson presents the Summer Kids Movie Series.  This week:  ”How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World”.  Showtimes at 11 AM and 2 PM, doors open one-half hour before showtime.  Admission is $1.  Pop and popcorn combo $4.  The series runs Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday through the summer.

Concord Area Players present “The Music Man”.  Jackson District Library- Concord Branch.  Showtimes are 7 PM Thursday and Friday and 3 and 7 PM on Saturday.  Buy your tickets here.

Manga Workshops.  Presented by the Jackson District Library.  Calling all artists for a manga and graphic novels workshop! Meet and learn from published manga professional Mark Crilley. Patrons will create four to five different drawings of their own during the course of the workshop.

Summer Nights at Leoni Township Park.  6 PM to 9 PM.  The Leoni Township Parks and Recreation Committee is hosting Summer Nights in the Park from 6 to 9 p.m. every other Thursday throughout the summer at the Leoni Township Park on Fifth Street in Michigan Center. Music, Vendors, Food Trucks and more!  Tonight’s entertainment by Flyte.  

Sounds of Summer.  6 PM to 9 PM.  Join us this Summer for the return of our Thursday night music series! Every Thursday from 6:00-9:00 pm some of the best solo & duo acts around will take to the Cherry Creek stage performing a selection of covers and originals.  Cherry Creek Cellars, 11500 Silver Lake Highway, Brooklyn.
