Back to School Blast Community Resource Fair. 3 PM to 7 PM.  2024 Back to School Blast, a FREE Community Resource Fair is set for July 25th 2024, 3:00 – 7:00pm, at the American 1 Event Center. We will be giving away 1,200 backpacks, school supplies, socks, & food and offering opportunities to meet Community Agencies providing services to students and their families. The event is at a new location providing plenty of space, ample parking, and air conditioned, plus all the fun, food and free stuff as previous years.  Students must be accompanied by parent or guardian for backpacks.  American 1 Event Center, Keeley Park, Downtown Jackson.

Kiwanis Kids Film Series: “Trolls” After the Bergens invade Troll Village, Poppy (Anna Kendrick), the happiest Troll ever born, and the overly-cautious, curmudgeonly Branch (Justin Timberlake) set off on a journey to rescue her friends. Their mission is full of adventure and mishaps, as this mismatched duo try to tolerate each other long enough to get the job done. The Michigan Theatre Kids Film Series is sponsored by Kiwanis Club of Jackson.  Showtimes are 11 AM and 2 PM.  Doors open one half hour before showtimes.  Kids Combo:  Small Drink and Popcorn for $5. Admission is $1. Michigan Theatre, Downtown Jackson.

Comedy Magic Show.  5 PM.  Enjoy an all-ages show filled with mind-blowing magic, squeaky-clean comedy and tons of audience participation with magician and entertainer Cameron Zvara!  Spring Arbor Branch: July 25, 5 PM.  Families are welcome. Ella Sharp Museum Patio Party.  It’s the return of the Patio Party at Ella Sharp Museum….evenings filled with food, drinks, LIVE entertainment and fun!  5:00-7:00pm.  Held on the lovely Granary Patio, where new renovations have taken place.  Members receive a FREE drink ticket and appetizers and non-members can visit the cash bar for their favorite beverages.  Musical guests for each show, along with Food Trucks. Sounds of Summer at Cherry Creek Cellars.  Join us on select Thursdays & Sundays throughout the summer for a variety of music. Full Cafe’ & Beverage Menu (except when food trucks are on site), Outdoor Seating, Lawn Chairs Welcome.
