32nd Annual Learning Fair. 12 PM to 7 PM.  Join us Thursday, July 9th 12:00 pm – 7:00 pm and Friday, July 10th 10:00 am – 5:00 pm for plenty of hands-on events and fun! This event and the activities are free thanks to our anonymous sponsor, and our other generous donors. There is plenty to do for a whole day so do not be in a hurry when you get here. Be ready to enjoy exploring technology, industry, and the arts!  Northwest Elementary School, 3757 Lansing Avenue, Jackson.

$1 Summer Kids Movie Series:  “Abominable”. Join us at the Michigan Theatre for Abominable as part of our Summer Kids Movie Series, sponsored by Kiwanis & Southern Michigan Bank and Trust. When a teenage girl discovers a young yeti hiding on her rooftop, she and her friends set off on an unforgettable journey to help him find his way home. Along the way, they face danger, discover courage and learn the power of friendship. A heartwarming, family-friendly movie about adventure, kindness and finding your way home. Admission is just $1. Showtimes: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 11 AM & 2 PM.  Doors open 30 minutes before each showing.  Michigan Theatre, Downtown Jackson.

POSTPONED-WEATHER.  Due to the forecasted thunderstorms, this evening’s Summer Songs concert will be postponed to Thursday, July 23rd, 7pm at Dahlem Center.   Summer Songs – An Outdoor Concert.  7 PM. Join the Jackson Symphony Orchestra and Dahlem for a FREE outdoor concert performance, sponsored by Gary and Jann Krupa! Bring your own lawn chair or blanket and sit under the trees or out in the grass and listen to a selection of summer songs performed by the Jackson Symphony Orchestra string quartet. Thursday Night Live Summer Concert Series.  (An Arbor Church Concert Series). July 9, 16 & 23,  6:30 p.m.  The Arbor Church Patio.  The Arbor Church Patio, 120 E. Main St., Spring Arbor Join us for Thursday Night Live, a three-week outdoor concert series designed to bring our church and community together for an evening of music, connection, and summer fun. Each week will feature live performances from talented musicians, including local songwriters, bluegrass classics, and favorite cover tunes. Bring a lawn chair, invite a friend, and enjoy a relaxed evening on the patio as we celebrate community together. The Arbor Café will be open with specialty drinks available for purchase, and free snacks will be provided for all attendees. Zumba Under the Stars.  8 PM.  Get ready for an awesome workout under the stars and an evening full of energy, movement, and fun!  Fresh air, great company, beautiful night sky!
