Jackson College Summer Concert Series.  7 PM.  Don’t miss local favorites Big L and Code Blu when they perform as part of the Jackson College Summer Concert Series at Potter Center! This fun, free outdoor event will start at 7 p.m. on the back patio of the Potter Center.  Guests are welcome to bring a lawn chair, while some chairs are available. Concert will move indoors in case of inclement weather. 

Jackson Blues Fest.  6 PM to 11 PM.  The 22nd annual Jackson Blues Fest is here!  Presented by M&K Jetting and Televising.  June 8, 9 & 10, 2023.  NEW LOCATION:  10138 Tompkins Rd, Rives Junction, MI 49277 (across from the Tompkins township office).  The Jackson Blues Fest is authentic Blues. Sounds of Summer at Cherry Creek Cellars. 6 PM to 9 PM.  Join us this Summer for the return of our Thursday night music series: Sounds of Summer Presented by Visit Lenawee!  Every Thursday (June – August) from 6 – 9 PM on the Cherry Creek stage, enjoy some of the best solo & duo acts around. Michigan Center Carp Carnival.  Michigan Center Lions Club presents 4 days of fun! 600 5th Street, Michigan Center.  Ride Tickets are available for $20 in advance at the following locations: Flagstar Bank, Starks Party Store, Tims Party Store, Boat Launch Party Store (on Fifth Street).  Music tonight, 6 PM to 10 PM by Haze, with Rik Skit on drums.  Food, fun, carnival rides, contests, entertainment and more.

Hiring Event – Henry Ford Jackson Hospital.  1 PM to 4 PM.  Martin Luther King, Jr. Center, 1107 Adrian Street, Jackson.  Henry Ford Jackson Hospital is hosting hiring events to fill entry7  level positions, including: Dietary, environmental services, patient safety assistant, nursing assistant/Certified nursing assistant, transport aide, patient registration, customer service representative and lab assistant. Job candidates are encouraged to bring completed resumes to the events. Members of the College and Career Access Center will be onsite to assist with resumes. The Henry Ford Talent Team will also be present to assist candidates with the online application submission process. Want to further your education? Michigan Works! will be onsite to help identify grants you may qualify for to assist in your education and professional development.
