CAA is using an automated scheduling system in 2021 and while people may have been told appointments were filled, new appointments are frequently being added so people should check back often. “We are continually adding new appointment times based on the availability of our volunteers,” says CAA Program Operations Manager Tami Farnum, so please be patient and keep trying.” There are 3 tax preparation sites in Jackson County, so if one is full, please try the other Jackson sites. Lenawee and Hillsdale counties each have one site. Frida Kahlo’s Garden Exhibit at Ella Sharp Museum. This exhibit is a partnership between Ella Sharp Museum and Jackson School of the Arts to bring Kahlo’s inspiration to life in her garden. Frida Kahlo (1907–1954) is considered one of the most significant artists of the twentieth century. Her body of work, consisting of some 250 paintings and drawings, is at once intensely personal and universal in scope, and relies heavily on the natural world. Frida Kahlo’s Garden is adapted from the exhibition, FRIDA KAHLO: ART, GARDEN, LIFE, organized by guest curator Adriana Zavala at The New York Botanical Garden. It was adapted and toured for NEH on the Road by the Mid-America Arts Alliance. ON VIEW AT ELLA SHARP MUSEUM now through March 16, 2021.
