Emo Night at the Honky Tonk at Oak + Iron.   8 PM.  For one night on every 4th Thursday, The Honky Tonk at Oak + Iron turns into a full-blown emo time machine. We’re blasting the songs that raised us, ruined us, fixed us, and somehow still live rent-free in our heads. My Chemical Romance. Fall Out Boy. Paramore. Taking Back Sunday. Panic! At The Disco. The Used. All Time Low. Blink-182. Pierce The Veil. Dashboard Confessional. And everything in between.  151 West Michigan Avenue, Downtown Jackson.

Film Screening:  “The Virgin Suicides” (1999).  7 PM.  Join us for a big-screen screening of The Virgin Suicides, Sofia Coppola’s haunting and poetic debut feature. Set in suburban America, the film follows the mysterious lives of the five Lisbon sisters through the fascinated eyes of neighborhood boys as they grapple with adolescence, desire, and heartbreak. With dreamy visuals and an evocative soundtrack, The Virgin Suicides captures the fragility of youth and the ache of longing in a world that’s both vivid and elusive.  Michigan Theatre, Downtown Jackson.
