Spring Break Week: Adventures in Lorehaven. Explore a dragon’s lair, meet a tree giant, navigate the cursed swamp and much, much more during Spring Break week at the Jackson District Library – March 21-30! To begin your journey, register for the Spring Break challenge in Beanstack. This is where you will track your progress, explore what’s new this year, and earn grand prize entries. You can complete your quest with any combination of in-person and online activities. Visit as many of our 14 library branches as you like to complete activities and collect buttons from each location. Activities are available until 30 minutes before each library closes during the week of Spring Break. Links to all of the online activities can be found in Beanstack. You will earn a small prize as well as a grand prize drawing entry when you complete 3, 7, and 10 activities (that means you can earn up to 3 grand prize entries)! Invasive Species and Citizen Science. 6 PM to 7:30 PM. Join biologist Shikha Singh at the Eastern Branch to learn about invasive species and how you can help protect the great outdoors, close to home. This program will have three sessions, each tailored to different audiences. Choose the one that works for you! All Ages, March 26, 6-7:30 PM. Learn about invasive species in our area, methods of tracking and treating invasive species, citizen scientists, and more. There will be a Q&A after the presentation. No registration required.
