Soups On for Seniors.   5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at Ella Sharp Museum Community Room.  The Soup’s On for Seniors is an event to support Meals on Wheels in Jackson County.  Guests will enjoy a selection of soup and desserts while enjoying strolling musicians Jerry and Michaella Jacoby, a silent auction, and wine/beer available for purchase.  Souvenir soup bowl for first 120 guests.  Tickets:  at the door $35 a ticket.   2019 Soup’s On Restaurants:  Airport Restaurant, Bone Island Grille, Gene Davis and Sons, Grand River Brewery, Kibby Cobb Deli, Steve’s Ranch.  Friends of Jackson Seniors Jackson County Department on Aging.

Viking Career Day.  Job opportunities and career exploration.  Jackson High School Small Gym.  10 AM to 1:30 PM.  More than 25 businesses and organizations are participating.  All are welcome.

Relay for Life of Jackson Kickoff!  Join us for an evening of fun, food, and information about our 2019 Relay for Life.  5:30 PM, Gene Davis Banquet Center, 3575 Francis Street.  Free.  All are welcome.

College and Career Connection Expo presented by Northwest High School.   Free event, snacks and Klavon’s pizza provided.  Dozens and Dozens of Colleges, Universities, Trade Schools, Employers and Organizations.  College and Career Center presentation at 5:30 PM in Commons.  College Expo in Competition Gym 6 PM to 7:30 PM.  Career Expo in Cafetorium 6 PM to 7:30 PM.   Northwest High School.

Movies at the Bohm Theatre.  “How to Train Your Dragon 3” at 6:30 PM and “Captain Marvel” at 7 PM.  Bohm Theatre, 201 South Superior, Albion.

Red Cross Blood Drive.  1 p.m. – 6:45 p.m., Grace Church, 2692 North Dettman Road, Jackson.  The Red Cross is in need of all donors, but especially type O.  Type O is the most in-demand blood type, helping patients acing life-threatening conditions and emergencies every day.  To celebrate the final season of Game of Thrones, HBO and the Red Cross have partnered to ask fans and blood donors to Bleed #ForTheThrone this March.As part of the partnership, fans who come to donate blood or platelets with the Red Cross now through March 17 will automatically be entered for a chance to win one of five trips to the season 8 world premiere of Game of Thrones. The trip includes travel for two, up to two nights hotel accommodations and a $250 gift card for expenses.
