Percussion Concussion. 7:30 PM. This annual event will feature performances by the Detroit Lions Drumline and a lineup of local high school drumlines, showcasing a night of rhythm, energy, and community. The Detroit Lions Drumline, the Honolulu Boom, will captivate the audience with their high-energy performance and will also offer pre-show clinics for high school drumline members, providing a unique learning opportunity. The evening will culminate in a grand finale that promises to thrill! Participating high school drumlines include Jackson High, Northwest, Western High, Michigan Center, Columbia Central, Springport, Napoleon, Lumen Christi, Addison, The George Crockett Academy, Jonesville, Mason, and Vandercook Lake. Michigan Theatre presents “The Birds”. Once again, we are proud to welcome back THE MICHIGAN THEATRE OF JACKSON’S THURSDAY NIGHT FILM SERIES. Rotary Park Improvements Community Meeting. 6:30 PM. Before improvements are planned at neighborhood parks, the City of Jackson is looking to get resident feedback. The City’s Parks and Recreation Department is planning two community meetings to engage neighbors on what changes they’d like to see. Rotary Park will be the focus of the next community meeting planned for Thursday, Nov. 7, 6:30 p.m. at the Boos Recreation Center, 210 Gilbert St. Rotary Park can be found on Jackson’s east side between Deyo and Plymouth streets. It also features a playground, basketball court, ball field, and green space. All Jackson residents are welcome to attend the meetings. The City of Jackson maintains 28 public parks and a pedestrian trail system for residents to use throughout the year.
