Jackson County Manufacturing Trade Show.  8 AM to 5 PM.  Join us for a day of innovation and collaboration at the Manufacturing Technology Tradeshow. The event will feature a variety of sessions, including a kickoff address by the Michigan Department of Labor & Economic Opportunity Chief Deputy Director, Jonathan Smith, followed by a roundtable discussion, and presentations by manufacturing technology startups showcasing their Industry 4.0 solutions. Experts from fields like artificial intelligence, lean manufacturing, and tech transfer will share insights and discuss the future of manufacturing. Additionally, the Enterprise Group of Jackson will provide an economic development update on local projects and resources. Jackson College Reading Series.  3 PM.  William Atkinson Hall, Central Campus.  The JC Reading Series will be on Thursday afternoons in William Atkinson Hall near the library. Readers will read their original works of writing for 10-15 minutes each. Each reader will be introduced by a chosen colleague. These events will showcase the staff and faculty writers we have on campus and allow them to share their work with the Jackson College community.

Conservation Lecture Series.   6:00 PM at Dahlem, Jackson’s Nature Place. Today,  Gardening for Pollinators with Vince St. Marie.  Reserve your seat – Registration fee: $5 per adult.  This adult program is part of the Conservation Lecture Series presented by Jackson County Conservation District and Dahlem Conservancy.  Details and reservations here.

Michigan Theatre presents “Citizen Kane”.  7 PM.  Join us for the Michigan Theatre of Jackson’s Thursday Night Film Series this Thursday as we screen Citizen Kane. Experience Orson Welles’ groundbreaking masterpiece that explores the life of media mogul Charles Foster Kane and the mysteries of his last word, “Rosebud.” Doors open at 6:30 pm, with the film starting shortly after at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $5, but Michigan Theatre Members get in free with their membership card.  Michigan Theatre, Downtown Jackson.
