The Green Market at Henry Ford Allegiance Health.  9 AM to 2 PM.  Corner of East Michigan Avenue and Waterloo Street, across from the hospital.  Please respect social distancing, wear face masks and observe safety procedures.  All food and products sold at The Green Market at Allegiance Health are grown and produced in Michigan using little or no pesticides, herbicides, inorganic fertilizers, or antibiotics. This means healthier foods for the greater Jackson community and less pollution for our rivers and lakes.

“Popcorn Drive Up Pick Up”  Michigan Theatre Of Jackson. Pull up on Mechanic Street (under the Michigan Theatre Marquee) between 5:00 and 6:30 P.M.  For your Free Box (or boxes) of POPCORN, just pull up and one of our masked and gloved representatives will hand you your popcorn!  Sponsored by JTV.  Free!

School-Age Child Care.  Jackson YMCA and Jackson Public Schools are partnering to offer school-age child care for young fives through fifth grade.  Beginning August 31, fee-based full-day and after-school care will be available at T.A. Wilson and financial assistance is available.  The program will adhere to safety guidelines and includes homework assistant and fun activities.  Due to distancing requirements, space is limited so sign up today at JacksonYMCA.org.

Salvation Army Food Pantry.  The Salvation Army of Jackson County Food Pantry Hours:  Regular Pantry Hours are 10 am-noon and 1-2 pm Monday through Thursday.  Food Boxes are available every 30 days.*In an emergency food may be provided from 2-4:30 pm -please call ahead – 517-782-7185.  The Fresh Food Initiative (FFI) is every Monday from 9-10:30 am -through September 28. FFI is closed on Labor Day.  FFI is available to any one in need – please bring ID.

Jackson YMCA Outdoor Exercise Classes.  Join the outdoor group exercise classes at the downtown Jackson YMCA.  Free for members, $5 for most classes for non-members.  Bring a mat, water bottle and towel.  Complete schedule at jacksonymca.org
