Tinker Tuesday.  11 AM.  Ella Sharp Museum is hosting “Things Come Apart,” a traveling exhibit from the Smithsonian Institution that invites us to see and understand how everyday objects work. In conjunction with the exhibit, we will be offering “Tinker Tuesdays,” a chance for young inventors to explore hands-on Spark!Lab Activity Kits associated with the exhibit and create their own inventions using a variety of supplies at various stations. Join lifelong tinkerer, Dave Kalen from Jackson Makerspace as he shares his enthusiasm and expertise in taking things apart and putting them back together.  Gallery Admission Details: $5 for Adults, $3 for Children, FREE for members.  The Spark!Lab Activity Kits are provided through a grant from the Smithsonian Women’s Committee.

After School Bus-In Program.  Bus-In at the Y engages kids in a wide variety of activities that encourage exploration of who they are and what the can achieve.  The YMCA Blue Bus picks up students at local elementary schools and brings them to the Y.  Program runs until 6 PM, Monday – Friday.  Cost per wee for members is $55, community $75.  Financial assistance is available.  517-782-0537.  Jackson YMCA, 127 West Wesley Street, Jackson.

Licensing Your Invention.  Jackson Inventors Network.  David Fedewa, negotiations coach and licensing specialist has coached over 100 students to successfully license their own products. He has been featured in Inc. and Entrepreneur’s online publications on licensing and negotiation strategy.  He has licensed five of his own products, with one being featured on Time magazine, CHIVE, and CNET Father’s Day Product of The Yearlist. David and his team built the world’s largest actively managed database of companies that license new innovative products. His strengths lie where business and psychology meet. While coaching students through multi-million dollar negotiations, he not only looks at the present deal at hand but teaches strategies that can be used in constructing deals with a win-win scenario throughout licensing.  6:30 PM, Lean Rocket Lab, 133 West Michigan Avenue, Jackson.
