
Grand River Farmers Market. The Grand River Farmers Market season goes from June 2nd until October. Every Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday from 9 am until 2 pm at the corner of Louis Glick & Mechanic St. The market is full of MICHIGAN GROWN PRODUCE including fresh vegetables, fruits, organic goods, vegan cookies, muffins, granola, honey, jams, breads, pastas, jewelry, dog treats, salsas, fruit pies, sweet corn, tomatoes, hanging flower baskets, blueberries, maple syrup, chard, broccoli, peas, mums, and much more!
Food Truck Tuesday. Come and enjoy a great lunch break with Food Truck Tuesday in Downtown Jackson. Free Vision and Hearing Clinic. Michigan law requires a child to have a hearing and vision screening before they enter kindergarten. The Jackson County Health Department provides FREE screenings that fulfill the requirement for school entry. Walk-in clinics are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm through the end of August. The clinics are held at the Jackson County Health Department at 1715 Lansing Ave, Jackson, MI 49202, Second Floor, Room 246.
Circus Arts Class. 5:30 to 6:30 PM, Jackson School of the Arts. This is an all levels class that will explore the fundamentals of solo acrobatics and balance. This class will work towards higher level handstands, acrobatic tumbling, as well as partner acrobatics. no prior experience is required, and a range of accessible options will be demonstrated so that all participants will be able to learn and progress with their practice of hand balance and acrobatics. Jackson Inventors Network Monthly Meeting. Allen Knight, Ph.D., Business Administration, professor of marketing and entrepreneurship, Spring Arbor University, will present “The Business Plan for the Busy Planner.” What are the questions to ask before you take the time, effort, and money to write a business plan for entrepreneurs and inventors? In this meeting we will challenge our inventors and entrepreneurs with the challenging questions: How do we go forward in the Business Plan, What is important to be included and other things you need to know.
