National Night Out. 6 PM to 8 PM.   The City of Jackson invites residents of all ages to attend National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Loomis Park, 210 Gilbert St. National Night Out is a nationwide event that strengthens relationships between residents and public safety through an evening of fun, community engagement, and neighborhood connections. Join the City of Jackson, Jackson Police Department, Jackson Fire Department, community partners, and local vendors for National Night Out, an evening dedicated to bringing neighbors and public safety together for a night of fun, connection, and community while learning more about the people who serve the community every day. $1 Summer Kids Movie Series:  “Kung Fu Panda 4”.  $1 Admission • August 4–6 • Showings at 11 AM & 2 PM • Doors 30 Minutes Before Each Showing. Join us at the Michigan Theatre for Kung Fu Panda 4 as part of our Summer Kids Movie Series, sponsored by Kiwanis & Southern Michigan Bank and Trust.  Po is back for a brand-new adventure as he prepares to become the Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace. But before he can step into his new role, he must find and train a new Dragon Warrior while facing a powerful new villain with mysterious abilities. A fun, action-packed family movie about courage, change and discovering the hero within.  Michigan Theatre, Downtown Jackson.

Tuesday TEN$.  Join us downtown for Tuesday TEN$ featuring $10 lunch specials at 18 participating Downtown Jackson restaurants. Tuesday TEN$ happens on the first Tuesday of every month, 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. Whether you’re on a lunch break, meeting friends, or just looking for a great mid-day meal, Tuesday TEN$ is an easy (and affordable) way to support local businesses.  Participating restaurants and featured menu items will be shared ahead of each event. Trackside Tuesday Food Truck Rally. 11 AM to 2 PM.  Join us for Trackside Tuesday Food Truck Rallies this summer! On the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Tuesdays of each month through October, enjoy a rotating lineup of local food trucks serving lunch from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the River & Rail Food Hub within the walls of the historic state prison. Grab a bite, connect with friends and coworkers, and discover new local eats. Follow the Grand River Farmers Market Facebook page each week to see which food trucks will be joining us.
