Home School Skate Party.  1 PM to 3 PM. Home School Roller Skating to Christian Music! This event is open to all Home Schooler’s in the Jackson Area! Please come join us in fellowship and fun!The Snack Bar, Laser Tag, and Game Room will all be available.  Allskate Fun Center, 1313 West North Street.

Nite Lites Drive Thru Christmas Show and Winter Wonderland.   Today through through Dec. 31.  Michigan International Speedway, US-12 Entrance only, 12626 US-12, Brooklyn, Michigan.  Time: 5:30 pm – 9 pm Sunday thru Thursday, 5:30 pm – 10:00 pm Friday & Saturday.  Pricing: $25 per car / vehicle, $40 per mini-bus, Limo / motor home, $70 per tour bus. All major credit cards accepted.  Fun for the whole family!

Live Music with Garrett Collier.  7 PM to 9 PM.  Nite Lite Restaurant.  We have a little mid-week holiday season fun festivities for you this week. Tuesday we’ll be jammin’ at Nite Lite from 7-9pm! Come out and grab a beer, a hoagie, and listen to Garrett Collier serenade your sweet souls.  Pearl Street, Downtown Jackson.

Adopt a Family Opportunity.  Families struggling to make ends meet can find that the holidays can be an added source of stress and anxiety. Often there are no presents or tree with lights. Food and clothes are often the only items found under the tree if anything at all. Community Action Agency’s staff working on the front lines in the War on Poverty see this daily.  CAA’s Adopt-a-Family program tries to ensure that the holiday season is just a bit brighter. Staff select individual families that they know personally and we match them with partners in the community. The partners adopt those families for the holidays. Partners typically provide at least one new toy and one new outfit for each child in the family, as well as a special holiday meal.
