Healthy Living:  Preventing Diabetes.  St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea and the Jackson YMCA present a series of health educational programs on diabetes.  Today:  Ready, Set, Goal.  Join our dietician to learn how to set healthy goals and how to keep those goals for the results you want.  5 to 5:30 PM, Jackson YMCA, 127 W. T3 with AARP.  The Third Tuesday of each month, AARP will host an informational workshop on issues important to older adults and their families. Topics to include avoiding fraud, resources for family caregivers, how to save on utilities, brain health, things you can do to stay in your home safely, and more.  February 19th:  Practical Tips for Family Caregiving.  All programs are from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.  Eastern Branch, Jackson District Library.  Adults are the intended audience. Call 1-877-926-8300 to register.

HodgePodge Music Special.  Crouch Senior Center February music special with Kevin Devine on Tuesday, February 19, at 11:15 a.m.  A hodgepodge music special in honor of Ground Hog Day, Valentine’s Day, and Presidents’ Day.  Kevine Devine plays old time favorites, patriotic songs, Tin Pan Alley classics, show tunes, pop songs from the past 100 years.  With his vast repertoire, he’s got songs for just about every occasion!  Stay for lunch served at 12:00 noon.  Menu:  Western Meatloaf, Brussel Sprouts, Veggie Pasta Blend, Fresh Fruit, Dinner Roll, Milk and pudding.  Suggested donation for lunch $2.50 for guests 60+ and a cost of $3.50 for guests under 60.  Make your lunch reservation by calling 768-8684.  Crouch Senior Center 1715 Lansing Ave., Jackson, MI  788-4364.
