Christ Lutheran Free Community Dinner.  Free community dinner – Building a strong community, one fork at a time. Come for the company and conversation. Second Tuesday of every month. 5 PM to 6:30 PM.  Christ Lutheran Church, 4250 Page Avenue, Michigan Center.

Aging Mastery Program.  Aging Mastery Program will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM. This workshop will meet 5 times with presentations from expert speakers and is supported by the National Council on Aging. Gain the skills needed to manage your health, remain economically secure, and contribute actively to society.  The Agenda will include: Aging mastery basics, exercise, fall prevention, advance planning, financial fitness, sleep, healthy eating and hydration, medication management, healthy relationships, and community engagement.  Join us for a fun and engaging program for aging well  Region 2 Area Agency on Aging, 102 N. Main Street, Brooklyn.

Macular Degeneration Support Group.  Free event open to public, and families are encouraged to attend.  Topic: What is AMD & What you can expect. 6 PM to 7 PM, Brooklyn Living Center, 151 Constitution Avenue, Brooklyn.

Things Come Apart Exhibit.  Final 2 weeks!  Within every object, tool or device that we use there are dozens of components which work together to represent the creativity, passion and highest levels of achievement of their time. When it comes to the objects we use every day, the sum really is greater than the parts. “Things Come Apart” features captivating photographs of deconstructed devices, fascinating videos and encased disassembled objects that display the effects imagination has on technology and the evolution of design. “Things Come Apart” is an exhibition organized by Todd McLellan and the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES).  Ella Sharp Museum.  10 AM to 5 PM.

Pull String Art.  Make pulled string art with watercolors and string. The process is captivating and the results are beautiful!  Concord Branch: January 14, 4 PM to 5 PM.  Concord Branch, Jackson District Library.

Jackson City Council Meeting.  The next regularly scheduled Jackson City Council meeting is tonight at 6:30.  Council Chambers, 2nd Floor, Jackson City Hall.  Downtown Jackson.
