Food Truck Tuesday.  11 AM to 1 PM. Featuring multiple food trucks and live music!  Both picnic tablea and grass seating are available.  This week’s food trucks are:  JR’s Restaurant on Wheels, Freddy’s Food Hut, RJ’s Sweets on the Street, Tiki Sam’s Pizza, Junkyard Dog, Shortie’s Sweets, Eats, & Treats, Whiskey Jack’s BBQ, Crazy Cowboy, Craveable Food Trailer, Big Guy Catering, Stoyanna’s, Kona Ice, and Traveling Tasty.  Providing this week’s entertainment:  Dan Bickel.  Presented by the Downtown Development Authority.  Horace Blackman Park, W Michigan Ave & S Jackson St, Downtown Jackson. 

Summer Kids Movie Series.  The Kiwanis Club of Jackson presents the Summer Kids Movie Series.  This week: “The House With A Clock In Its Walls”.  Showtimes at 11 AM and 2 PM, doors open one half hour before showtime.  Admission is $1.  Pop and popcorn combo $4.  The series runs Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday through the summer.

Walk, Roll, and Stroll.  7:00 PM to 8 PM. Cascades Park- Pavilion.   Join AARP and the City of Jackson for a 3 mile non-competitive walk, roll, or stroll for all ages and abilities.  Registration begins at 6:30 p.m.  The walk, roll & stroll begins at 7 p.m.

City of Jackson Neighborhood Meeting.  City Councilmember Freddie Dancy is holding a neighborhood meeting for Jackson’s Second Ward at the Department of Public Works (DPW) Operations Center on Tuesday, July 19 at 6:30 p.m.  Councilmember Dancy organized the meeting for residents to get updates on changes to the City’s ward lines, the work of the Affordable Housing Development Board, and recent police activity in the neighborhood.  The DPW Operations Center is located at 521 Water Street. The meeting will be held in the office building attached to the garage. All Jackson residents are welcome to attend. The Second Ward is comprised of Jackson’s southeast side and the eastern half of the downtown area. 

Wine & Whiskers.  The Cascades Humane Society’s 5th Annual Wine & Whiskers fundraiser.  Wine paired with complimentary personal charcuterie plate At Sandhill Crane Vineyards, 4724 Walz Rd., Jackson.  Tickets are $30 and include 2 glasses of wine, one charcuterie plate, a commemorative wine glass and entry into a grand prize drawing.  Visit chspets.org for more information.

Magic Milk Art.  Henrietta Branch, Jackson District Library.  Stop by the Henrietta Branch during the week of July 18 open hours to learn how to create art using everyday materials – including milk!

Weave a Bookmark.  Eastern Branch, Jackson District Library.  6 PM to 7 PM.  The art of weaving is at your fingertips! Join us at the Eastern Branch and learn to make a hand-woven bookmark. This is a perfect project for beginners and all supplies are provided.  Intended for ages 7+.

Nixon Water Park.  11 AM to 3 PM.  Nixon Water Park is open for the summer season.   The Nixon Water Park is located inside Nixon Park at 400 E. North St. It contains a water slide, full pool, waterfall, and wading area. The complex also hosts an event space for community use. The water park is open Monday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Aug. 20. The cost is $5 per person or 10 swim passes for $40.
