Ward 2 Neighborhood Meeting. Residents in Jackson’s Second Ward have an opportunity to meet with their City Council representative and learn the latest news from their neighborhood. City Councilmember Freddie Dancy is holding a neighborhood meeting for the City’s Second Ward on Tuesday, June 27, 6:30 p.m. at the Boos Recreation Center. Councilmember Dancy organized the meeting for residents to learn about new homes being built in the City, upcoming street construction projects in the neighborhood, and a breakdown of how City taxes are used. Ward 2 covers Jackson’s east side neighborhoods and the eastern half of Downtown Jackson. All residents are welcome to attend. The Boos Recreation Center is located at 210 Gilbert Street, Jackson.
