Walk, Roll & Stroll.  7 PM.  Join AARP and the City of Jackson, on the first and third Tuesdays in May, June, and July, at Ella Sharp Park and Cascades Park for a 3-mile non-competitive walk, roll, or stroll for all ages and abilities.  Please be sure to register with this link: aarp.cventevents.com/walk517  Today’s event is at Cascades Park Pavilion.  Registration begins at 6:30 p.m.  The walk, roll & stroll begins at 7 p.m. 

Le Grande Square Clean Up.  12 PM.  Join us as we clean up this historic park! Le Grande Square is a small triangular shaped park on East Michigan Avenue in front of the Jackson Amtrak Station. It is the northeast corner of an earlier public square, which existed prior to the arrival of the railroad in 1841. Volunteers should expect to clean the area, spread mulch, cut brush, plant flowers and assemble benches.  You will need to bring work/gardening gloves, small gardening equipment and hydration if needed.  

On Two Wheels Tuesday Evening Ice Cream Ride with Matt.  5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.  This is an On Two Wheels Sanctioned ride hosted by Matt from OTW. We will be meeting at the Weatherwax Rd. Parking lot of the Falling Waters Trail. Riding a portion of the trail and headed to Cascades Ice Cream Shop, and riding back to the parking lot. We will aim for 10ish miles. Helmets are REQUIRED for all riders. We are aiming for 13+mph. Any questions can be directed towards the shop, 517-789-6077

Free Outdoor Harmony Garden Family Concert.  6 PM – 7 PM.  Rotary Bandshell At Cascades Park.  Jaime Lawrence (owner of Harmony Garden Music Therapy Services) and Victor McDermott (most known as the Guitar Jam guy from the New Song Music Therapy Camp) are performing together for the families of Harmony Garden!  This event will be full of music for ALL AGES and ALL ABILITIES! We invite families to come, bring their own instruments, to join us for some fun music outside! Please bring your own blankets and chairs to set yourself up on the lawn/hill.  Please bring your own instruments if you want to play along! We will NOT be sharing or passing out any instruments at this event due to COVID-19. But, if YOU have your own shakers, sticks, drums, etc and you want to bring them, please do!!  This event is FREE, however Harmony Garden is in need of donations. If you want to DONATE to attend this event, we please do so! We have online donations set up through our PayPal link: www.paypal.me/harmonygardenmts or you can donate while at the event with cash.

Bark and Brew Online Silent Auction Preview.  Jackson County Animal Shelter volunteers will be hosting an online auction for a preview of auction items of what’s to come at THE BARK & BREW. 100% of proceeds will benefit JCAS.  To see auction items, click here.  The Jackson County Animal Shelter online preview auction for BARK & Brew runs through May 21st.  Jackson’s Bark and Brew! Bark and Brew takes place at Keeley Park on Saturday, May 21st from 1 to 6 pm.  Enjoy craft beers from local brewers, great food, live entertainment, door prizes, a dog talent show and more! Proceeds will benefit the Jackson County Animal Shelter Community Spay/Neuter program for Jackson County Animal Shelter Animals.

Bug Hunt Bingo.  Jackson District Library.  Stop by any JDL branch during the week of May 16 to hunt for Michigan spring bugs on a bug bingo card! Craft kits will also be available with bug tongs and a magnifying glass.
