Walk, Roll, Stroll Jackson.  6 PM.  Today at Cascades Park.  The Jackson Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with AARP Michigan, invites residents of all ages and abilities to participate in the free Walk, Roll and Stroll Jackson series. The remaining events are scheduled for May 21, June 4, June 18, July 2 and July 16, with registration starting at 6 p.m. and the program commencing at 6:30 p.m. Participants will go on a non- competitive 3-mile route through local parks. Shorter routes are available. The events will be split between Ella Sharp Park and Cascades Park, with the first Tuesday event listed each month,  June 4 and July 2, at Ella Sharp and the third Tuesday, May 21, June 18 and July 16, taking place at Cascades. For the Ella Sharp events, participants should meet in the soccer fields parking lot off Birchwood Drive. When the program is at Cascades, participants should meet at the pavilion off the S. Brown Street parking lot. Prizes will be awarded at the completion of each event with a grand prize awarded on July 16. Schedules will be available at each event or on the 5th Floor of City Hall, 161 W. Al Glick Youth Football Camp Registration Opens Today.  Sign-up is open on line for the 5th Al Glick Youth Football Camp – Sunday, June 9 2024.  The camp is open to Jackson County kids entering the 4th – 9th grade in the Fall of 2024, and will be held at Dungy Field, Withington Stadium at Jackson High School, 544 Wildwood in Jackson.  Camp:  10am to 2pm (Check in at 9:00am).  Tuition:  $15 per camper.  Campers receive:  Camp t-shirt, Draw string bag, Breakfast & Lunch, Special Guest Speakers, Non-contact instruction by current High School Coaches & Collegiate & Professional players.  Register by Friday May 31 by visiting facebook.com/alglickyouthfootballcamp, or sign-up online https://buff.ly/3VMCWIK Or in person at Jackson City Hall, Parks & Recreation, 161 W. Creative Connections Day Program Concert.  Harmony Garden Music Therapy Services Creative Connections Day Program is having their annual end-of-year concert! We would love to invite any of our participants’ friends, families, or anyone who is interested in watching a fun 30-45 minute concert put on by our two Day Programs. This concert is from 1:00 – 1:45pm at the Cascades Park Rotary Band Shell. It is a FREE event with time for outdoor socialization and refreshments afterwards. Please make sure to bring chairs and/or blankets for your own comfort while watching the concert.

Harmony Gardener’s Concert at The Cascades.  6 PM.  We are kicking off the Harmony Gardener’s Summer Concert series at the Cascades Rotary Bandshell on Tuesday, May 21st! We can’t wait to see you!
