Election Day.  Today is Election Day and Jackson County ballots have these issues:

County-wide:  Jackson College Millage Proposal

City of Jackson:  Mayor, Treasurer and City Council Ward Representatives, Wards 2, 4, and 6

Parma Township:  Supervisor Recalls

Napoleon Community Schools:  Bond Proposal

Jonesville Community Schools:  Bond Proposal

Manchester Community Schools:  Bond Proposal

Polls are open from 7 AM to 8 PM.

Community Coffee Time.  Join us for coffee and conversation at the Summit Branch on Tuesdays, 10 AM – 12 PM and Thursdays, 2-4 PM. Community Coffee Time is hosted by members of the Jackson District Library staff and Jackson community to share resources including caregiver support, JDL services, Tech support and community interests. Come in and learn a few things while you enjoy your community!  Jackson District Library Summit Branch.

Nite Lites 5K Fun Run Walk.  Experience one of the largest and growing 5k traditions in the state.  Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, MI is the site to start your holiday season off with a festive run to remember.  For the last 6 years, MIS has teamed up with Nite Lites Christmas Light Show to bring you the atmosphere and backdrop for your competitive spirit.  In this charitable event, you will experience the Christmas spirit.  Surrounded by artistic holiday scenes and multitudes of animated lights, the 5K Fun Run and 5k Walk will get your holiday adrenalin pumping.  The kickoff to Michigan International Speedway’s holiday Christmas light show always starts with the energy you bring as participants.  Runners will begin 1/2 hour before walkers. This course is contained within Michigan International Speedway and is paved! Please wear appropriate footwear for these conditions.
