Gifts of the Earth-The Sound of Nature. Join ua on November 8 at 11 AM at the JDL Henrietta Branch to discover the amazing things we can learn from nature! This program is intended for ages 3-5. About the Presenter: Doc William “Walks Sacred” Martin is of Cree lineage from Quebec, Trois-Rivieres, Canada. He is of the Plains Cree – Bear Clan. He has also been “made a relative” with the Dine’ Navajo, Hopi, Lak’hota and Dak’hota nations for his service as a Naturopathic Doctor and Medicine Helper, always without a fee. Doc Martin was founder/director of the BIO-Health Centre in the Detroit area for 40 years. This was the first 100% Holistic Clinic in Michigan.
Story Time at the Eastern Branch. JDL storytimes offer age-appropriate books, music, and activities for babies, toddlers, families, and young children. Most importantly, they help develop everyone’s imaginations! Eastern Branch Storytime: Tuesdays, 11 AM (ages 0-5). Storytimes will run weekly to November 30.
