Jackson College Pathways Showcase Day. 8 AM to 1:30 PM.  Jackson College faculty invite students to explore the career pathways that interest them. Each career pathway has programs designed to prepare for rewarding, high-demand occupations. Breakout sessions include  Business & Computer Technology, Health Sciences, Human Services, Liberal Arts, Science and more!  Thirty employers will be on site to meet with those interested.  The day begins at 8 AM at Potter Center.  Complete details here.

JSO 75th Anniversary Celebration:  Rhapsody in Blue.  The Jackson Symphony Orchestra’s Classical Concert Series kicks off its 75th season with a centennial celebration of Rhapsody in Blue, blending French elegance and American jazz in a night of symphonic brilliance. The first concert of the season will be held at 7:30 p.m. on October 19, 2024, at the Potter Center and will feature guest artists Marika Bournaki, piano and the Ellipsos Quartet, saxophone. Beginner Sweetheart Waltz Experience.  5 PM to 6 PM. Step into an enchanting world of grace and romance with a one-hour Sweetest Day Waltz experience! Held in Jackson College’s spacious community rooms, this class is designed to celebrate the spirit of Sweetest Day by indulging couples in the timeless art of waltzing. Led by the Jackson School of the Arts expert instructor and assistant, Angelina Dickinson, couples will be guided through a series of graceful steps, learning the basic techniques of this classic dance.
