
Celebrating Music Around the World. 7 PM. Get ready for an evening of music and rhythm as Jackson College showcases three musical ensembles in a Fall Concert Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. in the Harold Sheffer Music Hall, Potter Center. Timeless classics, seasonal favorites, soaring motives, lush chordal passages and rhythmic intensity will engage your senses as the Jackson College Community Concert Band, Jazzy Jets and Drumline perform. All three JC ensembles have made great strides in pieces like Modeste Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition,” Julie Giroux’s “Bookmarks from Japan,” Stevie Wonder’s “Master Blaster,” big band favorites by the Glenn Miller Band, and even highlights from “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” The Jackson College Drumline will also provide a preview for the upcoming Jackson Percussion Concussion on Nov. 6, which will feature a record-breaking 15 drumlines! Enjoy all this on a 79-minute musical journey. Admission is free, and all are welcome.
Halloween Town Trunk or Treat. Halloween Town Trunk or Treat is back for another year at Keeley Park (Jackson County Fairgrounds). October 28, 2026. 5-7 pm. A great way to get in the Halloween spirit with your Jackson Community. Free for EVERYONE!
Drive Jackson Pop Up Event. 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Jackson County residents are invited to take part in shaping the future of their community by attending one of several Drive Jackson Vision Plan Pop-up events. These open house–style gatherings are designed to make it easy for everyone to share their ideas and feedback on the next 20-year Strategic Vision Plan for Jackson County. Drive Jackson is a countywide initiative to develop a bold community-driven plan, initiated by Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, together with partners, including Accelerate Jackson County, Experience Jackson, Jackson Community Foundation, City of Jackson and Jackson County.
