2018 Jackson Community Run to benefit Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.  Event starts at Kit Young Center, 1185 Parnall Road, Jackson.  Registration at 11:30 AM, Walk starts at 12 PM and Run starts at 12:30 PM. The event is to raise awareness for Special Olympics of Michigan and to insure inclusion for all athletes. Grand River Farmers Market.  The Grand River Farmers Market season goes from June 2nd until October. Every Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday from 9 am until 2 pm at the corner of Louis Glick & Mechanic St.  The market is full of MICHIGAN GROWN PRODUCE including fresh vegetables, fruits, organic goods, vegan cookies, muffins, granola, honey, jams, breads, pastas, jewelry, dog treats, salsas, fruit pies, sweet corn, tomatoes, hanging flower baskets, blueberries, maple syrup, chard, broccoli, peas, mums, and much more!

Youth Mental Health First Aid Training.  LifeWays is proud to offer Youth Mental Health First Aid,  a public education program that introduces you to the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in adolescents. This 8-hour training helps to build understanding of the importance of early intervention and teaches you how to help a young person experiencing a crisis or challenge. 8 AM to 5 PM, LifeWays, 1200 North West Avenue, Jackson.  Registration and details here.

Music and Movement at Jackson School of the Arts.  Jackson School of the Arts is proud to host Harmony Garden’s Music and Movement class.  A fun, active, and energetic class. 2nd Annual Foster Care/Adoption Forum.  6 PM, Jackson YMCA, downtown Jackson.  Learn about foster care and adoption in our community.  Presented by Family Service and Children’s Aid.

Open House at Westminster Presbyterian Church.  This is an open house for individuals, groups, organizations, and businesses to become familiar with the facilities at Westminster Presbyterian Church that can be used for events, meetings, and conferences.  12 Noon to 2 PM.  2301 Ridgeway Road, Jackson.
