Classic Car Festival.  Fun for the entire family with 200+ cars, food, and giveaways! Vote for your favorite car! Admission is free for all spectators. All Proceeds go to benefit the Department on Aging. The schedule is as follows:  Car Registration – 4pm, 4:30pm open to spectators, 4:30 – 6:30 Pulled pork Dinner fundraiser, 7pm Car Awards.  All cars welcome! Registration is $5, and all cars receive a dash plaque & are eligible for trophies!  James J. Keeley Park (Jackson County Fairgrounds). 

Food for Fines.  Final Day!  Wipe out $1 in overdue fines for every non-perishable item donated at any Jackson District Library branch and make a difference in your community. All collected items will be donated to the Food Bank of South Central Michigan.  All branches, Jackson District Library.

Community Career Day.  Jackson Radio Works (K-105.3, NewsTalk 970AM/101.5FM, 95.9 The Power Cow, and ESPN 101.9 FM) is hosting a Community Career Day!  Noon-6pm at the Commonwealth Commerce Center.  Use South Entrance.  Sponsored by Don Finelli and the Commonwealth Commerce Center.  Come prepared to meet with businesses who are actively seeking new employees! Don’t forget; bring your resume, writing utensil, and dress to impress!  Participating organizations include these AND MORE:  Alro Steel, CareerQuest, Michigan Works!, US Staffing Agency, Xcel Staffing, United Methodist Retirement Communities, Diverse Staffing, Community Living Support Services. Great Lakes Industry, Starr Albion Prep, Community Action Agency, College & Career Access Center, Center for Family Health, JSP, Sheridan, Inc., Vista Grande Villa.  Free to the community.

Rocky Horror Picture Show Auditions.  Auditions for RHPS shadow cast.  That’s right, Rocky Horror Picture Show is returning to Jackson!  If you are interested in being a part of this crazy cast, auditions will be held at Sherman Oaks Clubhouse.  Sherman Oaks is located off of Lansing Ave (north of Jackson).  Once you enter the park, the clubhouse is located about halfway through the park.  Auditions will be held from 7PM to 9PM.
