Gravel Bike Ride and Meet Up.  Experience what rural Jackson has to offer during a gravel bike group ride through the scenic backroads near Concord and Horton! Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just looking to explore new terrain, this ride offers the perfect opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors and connect with fellow biking enthusiasts. We’ll be meeting at Cross Road and rolling out promptly at 6PM at Cross Road between Cochran and Tripp, Concord, MI.Expect a mix of smooth gravel and challenging hills, with plenty of opportunities to take in the natural beauty of the area. Be sure to bring your helmet, water, and a sense of adventure! Jackson District Library Recipe Club.  3:00 pm – 4:00 pm.  Love to cook? Need new ideas? Want to share your favorite recipes with others? Come join the Springport Branch every first Tuesday to swap recipes! Each month will have a special theme, so call the branch at 517-905-1459 beforehand to know what type of recipe to share. Samples may be included. Fall Dates (all sessions at 3 PM): September 3, October 1, November 5.  Springport Branch, Jackson District Library.

Jackson Chorale First Rehearsal 2024-25 Season.  6:30 PM to 9 PM.  This will be the first rehearsal for the Jackson MI Chorale 2024-25 season. New members are welcome, and we are excited to see all of our returning members. If you sang in choir back in high school and miss it, then come check us out!  JSO Weatherwax Hall, 215 West Michigan Avenue, Downtown Jackson.

Jackson College Workshop:  College Catch Up.   10 – 11 a.m. via Zoom. Are you new to taking college courses or coming back after taking some time off and want to make sure you have all the skills to get started? The Jackson College Center for Student Success is offering FREE College Catch-Up workshops to help you with:  Canvas Training, Learn differences between Canvas, JetStream, JetWay and more, Learn to manage your time by building a weekly study/homework schedule.  Learn how to download and use Microsoft Office for free as a student!  Students will also review basic computer skills like opening e-mail, creating and saving documents, using different Internet browsers and more.  Sessions will be offered in-person and online.
