Northwest Schools Kindergarten Round-Up.  Today from 8 AM to 1 PM and 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM.  Thursday from 8 AM to 1 PM.  Please visit nwschools.org/nwee on the steps to register your student for Kindergarten or Young Fives and schedule your round-up appointment.

Ella Sharp Museum Now Open.  New Exhibits, New Programming, & More Virtual Events to come!  Be the first to see Adapt Exhibit – Covid-19 experiences and the I Matter Photography Exhibit.Capacities are   limited and “4 Steps to a Safe & Healthy Visit” has been implemented to prioritize the health and safety of our community.

Salvation Army Food Pantry.  The Salvation Army of Jackson County Food Pantry Hours:  Regular Pantry Hours are 10 am-noon and 1-2 pm Monday through Thursday.  Food Boxes are available every 30 days.*In an emergency food may be provided from 2-4:30 pm -please call ahead – 517-782-7185.  The Fresh Food Initiative (FFI) is every Monday from 9-10:30 am -through September 28. FFI is closed on Labor Day.  FFI is available to any one in need – please bring ID.

Red Cross Blood Drives. The American Red Cross is now testing all blood, platelet and plasma donations for COVID-19 antibodies. The antibody test used by the Red Cross is authorized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and may indicate if the donor’s immune system has produced antibodies to the coronavirus, regardless of whether they developed symptoms.  At the same time, there continues to be an urgent need for blood donations after hospital demand for blood products increased in recent weeks.
