Join us at the Michigan Theatre for Kung Fu Panda 4 as part of our Summer Kids Movie Series, sponsored by Kiwanis & Southern Michigan Bank and Trust.  Po is back for a brand-new adventure as he prepares to become the Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace. But before he can step into his new role, he must find and train a new Dragon Warrior while facing a powerful new villain with mysterious abilities. A fun, action-packed family movie about courage, change and discovering the hero within.  Michigan Theatre, Downtown Jackson.

Cascades Family Night.  Make your Wednesdays the highlight of the week with our Family Nights!  Bring the whole crew out for a night of fun — and take advantage of our special $15 family rate for groups of up to 8. Enjoy extended Splash Pad hours, live music, character appearances, and plenty of activities to keep everyone smiling. Each week brings a brand‑new theme, so there’s always something fresh to look forward to. Stay tuned — you won’t want to miss what’s coming. And when the evening winds down, gather together and end the night with the Grand Light Show at the Cascade Falls. It’s the perfect mid‑week magic. Pop Up Ceramics:  Summerween. 5:30 PM to 9 PM.   Celebrate the playful spirit of Summerween with this hands-on ceramics workshop! Students will design and craft their own decorative masks, pumpkins, or stacking pumpkins – perfect for bringing a touch of Halloween charm to your home this summer. The instructor will provide initial guidance and demonstrations to help you get started, then be available throughout the workshop to offer individualized assistance as you work at your own pace. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced ceramic artist, this class offers a fun and relaxed environment to explore your creativity and make something festive for the upcoming spooky season! Level of Experience: Beginner to Advanced. Students will receive initial instruction then focus on independent work. Josh Silas Live at Atlas. 6 PM to 9 PM.  Joshua is originally from the Dexter/Chelsea area. Growing up in a house with a musically talented family, his love for music began at an early age. Josh has been influenced by many different genres including blues, rock, country, jazz, and more that you can hear in his music. In addition to his solo performances, he plays with several different bands including Pete Schlegel and Squeezebox.  Atlas, 123 N. Main Street, Brooklyn.

Astronomical Observatory Viewing Night. 9 PM to 11 PM.  Students, employees, and community members are invited to enjoy an evening of stargazing through our campus telescope! Please visit the Astronomical Observatory web page before attending to confirm the event is still taking place, as it may be canceled due to weather conditions.  Jackson College, Central Campus.
