Jackson County Fair.  The 170th Jackson County Fair, Keeley Park, Downtown Jackson.  9 AM to 11 PM. There is so much to experience at the Jackson County Fair.  Today Unlimited Ride Wristband Day.   Come out and enjoy a day or two at the fair filled fun games, exciting rides, livestock, events, and tasty food! Join the fun happening in Jackson, Michigan this summer!   Complete schedule, tickets and details here.  Tonight, Kanin Wren’s Taylor Swift Experience.  7 PM.  Experience Taylor Swift with Karin Wren this year at The Jackson County Fair!  An exciting show with hits from Taylor Swift, costume changes and a stage presence to remember.  We encourage dressing up as one of your favorite Taylor Swift eras and trading friendship bracelets!  Tickets $20 – $40.

National Night Out Celebration. 6 PM to 8 PM.  The City of Jackson’s National Night Out celebration is planned for Wednesday, Aug. 7 at the MLK Recreation Center from 6-8 p.m. National Night Out is a nationwide program that aims to bring residents, police officers and firefighters closer together through fun-filled events. Jackson’s event will feature games, prizes, face painting for kids, local vendors, and a bike raffle. Residents will have an opportunity to meet police officers and firefighters, along with getting an up close look at patrol cars, fire trucks and ambulances. Jackson’s National Night Out is organized by the City of Jackson’s Police, Fire and Group Violence Intervention, with support from sponsors Target, Walmart, Ladwig’s Culligan of Jackson, American 1 Credit Union and the Jackson County Health Department. Target and Walmart are giving away free back packs to help kids get ready for the school year. The health department will hand out free bike helmets.  The event is free to attend and open to all ages. The MLK Recreation Center is located at 1107 Adrian St.

Grass Lake Farmers Market and Music in the Park.  Farmers, vendor and more during the weekly Farmers Market, 4 PM to 7 PM.  Free, live music performed by various local artists on the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays in August, and then the first 2 Wednesdays in September.   DJ music starts at 6:00 and live music runs 6:30-8:00 pm.  Tonight’s performers:  The Bickel Brothers.  120 Brown Street, Downtown Grass Lake.

Ella Sharp Museum Free Admission.  Free Admission for the month of August! The museum has received a generous donation from an anonymous donor to provide free admission for the entire month of August. Come by the museum this month to enjoy our galleries and the Hurst Planetarium.

Wednesday Family Night at The Cascades.  Wednesday Family Night Show starts at 7:30 PM.  Admission:  $10 for up to 8 family members.  Live entertainment plus special costumed characters every week!  Tonight:  Gordon the Magician and Great Lakes Cloggers.  All shows are weather permitting.  Visit jacksoncountyparks.org.
