Pearl Harbor Remembrance Ceremony.  1 PM. You are invited to a short ceremony honoring the 28 Michiganders who lost their lives at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.  One year ago, a monument was unveiled, The State of Michigan Memorial to the USS Arizona, at Sparks Foundation County Park.  The ceremony will be presented at the Memorial.  Located near the High Street entrance to the park.

Lights of Love.  Henry Ford Health.  Sponsored by:  American 1 Credit Union & TRUE Community Credit Union.  Over the years, Lights of Love has become a beloved tradition at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital. It’s a time to gather as a community and welcome the holidays in a meaningful way as we pay tribute to those we love and remember.  Donations to the Lights of Love campaign make it possible for Henry Ford Hospice – Jackson to open its doors to more patients in need of compassionate end-of-life care, regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay.  Join their Holiday Celebration Wed., Dec. 7 at 6:00 PM, Henry Ford Jackson Hospital, Main Entrance. 

Holiday Festivities at the Summit Branch.  Join us at the Summit Branch, Jackson District Library on December 7 at 6 PM to share a story with Mrs. Claus, create a marshmallow pop, prepare magic reindeer food, and help build the branch’s holiday tree!  Space is limited. DDA Holiday Window Decorating Contest.  Downtown Jackson is celebrating the holidays with creative window displays at stores, restaurants and other businesses/organizations throughout the Downtown.  This year’s theme is “Winter Wonderland”.  You are invited to vote for your favorite window display on social media.  Voting runs though December 21 and winners announced on December 23.  Visit Downtown Jackson!

Horizon Exhibit.  The Ella Sharp Museum is thrilled to be the premier location for this amazing new traveling exhibition from the Museum of Special Art (MOSA).  The Horizon Exhibition features an eclectic collection of realistic, modern and abstract works from 18 different artists from across the U.S., Spain, and Canada. This exhibition is one that will truly leave you inspired as our community celebrates the gifts and talents of artists of differing abilities. The Ella Sharp Museum is dedicated to embracing and sharing artwork from all individuals.
