Winter Wonderland LEGO Contest.  The Spring Arbor Branch invites kids ages 3-17 to create a winter wonderland out of LEGO! Creations can be dropped off at the Spring Arbor Branch February 1-28 during open hours. Prizes will be awarded for 3 age groups.   For questions, stop by or call the Spring Arbor Branch at 517-750-2030.  Please note, no LEGO kits will be accepted for the contest.

Ceramics-Open Studio Sessions.  Ella Sharp Museum.  Open studio opportunity for ceramics students to continue working on their hand-building, throwing and glazing without guided instruction.  Date: February 2 – March 30, 2022.  Only open during regular business hours:  Wednesday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Sunday, 12 -5 p.m.  Price: $10 per day.  Fee must be paid at the information desk upon arrival

YPOP Exhibit at Ella Sharp Museum.  Diane Washington and Ella Sharp Museum present “Bringing the Village to Life: The YPOP Explorers-Young People of Purpose Story”. Exhibit and program support comes from American 1 Credit Union.  What started out as a way to introduce art to youth has become a community outreach movement: YPOP (Young People of Purpose). The exhibition, Bringing the Village to Life: The YPOP Story now on display at Ella Sharp Museum and shares the story of Jackson’s Diane Washington and the YPOP organization.

JDL Cooks!  Jackson District Library Virtual Series.  Join Shelley and Annette warm up cold winter days by learning to make turkey chili in an Instant Pot and chicken soup in a Crock-Pot. This prerecorded program will be available on JDL’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.

Craftivism:  A Creative Approach to Mental Health.  Jackson District Library.  This program allows teens to take negative thoughts and make something beautiful out of it using watercolors. Supply kits will be available at all JDL branches, while supplies last. An instructional video will be available on JDL’s Facebook page and YouTube channel
