Livability at the Carnegie Branch.  The Carnegie Library invites adults with special needs to join us twice a month for crafts and game time in the auditorium.  2 PM to 3:30 PM.

Comedy at the Brass Rail.  On this episode of The Future of Comedy Show at the 308 Brass Rail  We have Comedy Central’s  Lucas Connolly. Featuring your friend, Mike Ball! Plus we have the amazing Kevin Johnson  hosting. There isn’t a cover, donations only but seating is limited so we offer reserve seating for $10. Call 517-782-3414. Yoga at Eastern Branch.  Come relax, unwind, and take care of your body with the slow and gentle flow of yoga! Bring your own mat; if you do not have one, a limited amount may be available. $3 suggested donation.  3 PM, Eastern Branch, Jackson District Library.

More than a Headwrap Exhibit.  In celebration of African American History Month, join us at the Carnegie Library from January 3-February 1 to experience the history of headwrapping. This will include photos and banners that show the cultural history and importance of the headwrap.  This exhibit is in conjunction with the More than a Headwrap program on February 1. Things Come Apart Exhibit.  Final weeks!  Within every object, tool or device that we use there are dozens of components which work together to represent the creativity, passion and highest levels of achievement of their time. When it comes to the objects we use every day, the sum really is greater than the parts. “Things Come Apart” features captivating photographs of deconstructed devices, fascinating videos and encased disassembled objects that display the effects imagination has on technology and the evolution of design. “Things Come Apart” is an exhibition organized by Todd McLellan and the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES).  Ella Sharp Museum.  10 AM to 5 PM.
