Kiwanis Summer Kids Movie Series at the Michigan Theatre, downtown Jackson.  Today, Peter Rabbit at 2 PM (no 11 AM show today).  Feature adaptation of Beatrix Potter’s classic tale of a rebellious rabbit trying to sneak into a farmer’s vegetable garden.  Admission is $1.00  Doors open one half hour before movie.  Film starts at 11:00 AM and 2 PM.  Kids combos available for $4.00.

The Jackson Unity Festival will take place Wednesday, July 11th through Sunday, July 15th at venues throughout Downtown Jackson including the Michigan Theatre, Weatherwax Hall, Bucky Harris Park and Horace Blackman Park.  There will be a stellar lineup of musical talent from across the world to perform in Downtown Jackson. All performances are free and open to the public.  Tonight, Ian Stewart performs at Weatherwax Hall.  R&B Singer songwriter & Guitarist Ian Stewart is a world travelled performer who’s paid his dues and has been “Spreading The Blues” for the past two decades.  The complete 2018 Jackson Unity Festival lineup and performance will be published this spring at www.jacksonunityfestival.org.

Red Cross Blood Drive.  Commonwealth Commerce Center, 209  Washington, Jackson.  The need is constant during the summer months and you are encouraged to give.  12 N to 6 PM.  Sponsored by the Jackson County RoseQueen and Jackson County Miss Teen USA Pageants.

Yoga at the Meijer Branch, Jackson District Library.  Join us at the Meijer Branch! Stop by the Meijer Branch every Monday and Wednesday at 9:30 a.m., and Friday at 8:30 a.m. and let Jeanette Lamphere teach you yoga. Suggested donation of $3. Intended for adults.

Family Night at the Cascades.  High-Energy and entertaining Band 3614 (Thirty six fourteen) is a 6 piece group of professional, seasoned musicians that play that “Muscle Shoals Sounds” from Aretha to the Rolling Stones.  Admission is $10 per family (up to 8 family members).  7 PM, Cascades Falls.  Presented by Myers Family Little Caesars Restaurants and Jackson County Parks.
