$1 Summer Kids Movie Days.  Sponsored by Kiwanis & American 1.  “Flow”. Showtimes: 11AM & 2PM with the doors opening 30 minutes before (10:30 AM and 1:30 PM) Three days of family fun at the historic Michigan Theatre of Jackson! We’re showing Flow, the Oscar-winning animated adventure, on the big screen, sponsored by Kiwanis and American 1. Flow is a visually stunning, dialogue-free film that follows a solitary black cat navigating a post-apocalyptic world submerged by a great flood. Along the journey, the cat forms bonds with a Labrador, a capybara, a lemur, and a secretary bird as they sail together in search of dry land.  Admission: $1 for all ages. Concessions: Snacks and drinks available at the stand.  Michigan Theatre, Downtown Jackson.

Summer Safety Series.  12 PM to 1:30 PM.  Free food, games, and safety information.  Presented by the City of Jackson Police and Fire Departments.  Raffles for bikes & helmets for children under 12 years old. Hip Hop Academy at the MLK Center.  12:30 PM to 3:00 PM.  Join Lansing-based, Non-Profit, All of the Above Hip Hop Academy at the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center (1107 Adrian St, Jackson, MI 49203) for a creative, music thumping afternoon of hip hop and beat-making basics. 13th Annual Annual Music in The Park / Music Market.  Tonight, featuring the Grass Lake School of Music. Pop Up Ceramics:  Yard Art.  5:30 PM to 9 PM. Join our ceramics workshop and create charming yard art that you can proudly display in your garden. Led by an expert instructor, you’ll create personalized ceramic decorations that add a unique touch to your outdoor space. Perfect for enhancing your garden or giving as a thoughtful handmade gift! Level of Experience: Beginner to Advanced. Students will receive initial instruction then focus on independent work. The instructor will be available to assist as needed, but will encourage students to create on their own without step-by-step instruction. Please wear appropriate clothing for working with art materials. Cost: $65.  Projects will be created on day 1. Before day 2, our instructor will fire the project in our on-campus kiln.
